Department of Teaching and Studying

Assistance when things don't go as planned

The Department for Teaching and Studying handles all matters concerning degree programmes and examinations such as teaching evaluations, student surveys, study and examination regulations and more. This is the correct point of contact if a mandatory seminar is no longer being offered, an incorrect examination format is used or the marking of an exam is taking too long.

If you require urgent advice, you can visit the StuRa during regular office hours for quick and straightforward guidance, tips and initial assistance. Alternatively, you can email lust(x)stura.tu-chemnitz.de* at any time to request an appointment. The more detailed your problem description is in the email, the better we can prepare for the meeting or provide a direct response via email. All content and data will of course be handled confidentially.

Every student naturally considers their own issue to be the most urgent. What might seem like a triviality to others is still worth asking about. We generally recommend simply enquiring via email or approaching members of the StuRa on campus.

Are you active in one of the many committees but unsure of your specific tasks, rights, duties, or opportunities? The Department for Teaching and Studying is your point of contact here as well. In addition to intensive tranining courses we provide ongoing guidance and support and if necessary a copy of the Saxon Higher Education Act (SächsHSFG) for you to look through.
